A sign

Mark 8:11-13
The Pharisees came and began to argue with him, seeking from him a sign from heaven, to test him.
And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and said, "Why does this generation seek a sign? Truly, I say to you, no sign shall be given to this generation."
And he left them, and getting into the boat again he departed to the other side.

Homily:
Too many people wait upon a supernatural encounter, forgetting that their very existence is supernatural.

To walk with God, they want to see a burning bush, a talking wind, tongues of fire from above or Jesus Christ himself.

Signs are not required when the map is already established within.

What further signs do you need to believe? What sign is greater than your very being?
We are with ourselves the most, but we pay attention to ourselves the least, searching for external noise, when the true signals for our journey dwells within.

Stop waiting for signs, be the sign. Let your life point unmistakably to righteousness.

Dear Lord, help me be a good sign to myself and my neighbours.
